Jeanette Richelson

Jeanette moved to Portland in the summer of 2009 and began teaching at Yogave in August 2009. She feels incredibly blessed to be part of the Yogave family. Yogave is definitely one of the top reasons for why she truly feels at home in Maine.  Jeanette received her yoga teacher certification from 02 Yoga in Boston, Massachusetts in the spring of 2009. She trained with Mimi Loureiro and Elliott McEldowney in 02 Yoga, which balances many principles of Ashtanga Yoga with a more creative and less predictable Vinyasa-flow format. Jeanette’s personal practice is the Ashtanga Primary Series.

Jeanette is also a Certified Childlight Yoga Instructor (CCYI), completing the Basic and Advanced Childlight Teacher Training with Lisa Flynn in South Berwick, Maine, and she currently runs family and youth yoga classes at Yogave and in the Greater Portland area. She is excited to share with all her students the power, joy, and peace that emerges from intentional movement and conscious breath.
