Rachel B

Rachel discovered yoga in college as a way to reduce stress and get exercise. She then found herself drawn to the many other dimensions of yoga and sought training that encompassed the eight limbs, yogaspirit®. Since then, she has been certified as a 200-hour level… yoga teacher by Kim Valeri of yogaspirit® Studios. Her teaching style offers asana variations that honor and support individual differences and all body types. Her classes are based in Iyengar-style which is known for its emphasis on precision and alignment in the postures and for making use of various props such as see blankets, blocks and straps; this enables everyone to get the most out of their yoga practice. She provides a non-competitive atmosphere where students will find the balance between strength and mobility in the body. Rachel also has a bachelor’s degree in community health education and specializes in nutrition and women’s health.  In addition to instructing yoga, she works as a Special Education teacher and enjoys supporting people in helping them meet their fullest potential.
